It’s that time of year again! We’re having our annual Buccaneer Days at the end of August on the 27th and the 28th. This is a sort of unofficial kick-off for apple season, and we’ll have our True West Pirates up here performing their shows with high falls, cannon fire, sword-fights and gun battles. We’ll also have our array of vendors with their delightful wares, and of course, our snack bar in the barn, with chili dogs, root beer floats, nachos, frozen yogurt, popcorn, and more, along with Granny’s Attic–toys galore!–and Etc (lovely and elegant home decor). The Wildland Images gallery will be open so you can browse the renowned artists Fariad and Jennifers’ amazing pieces, and we have a brand-new antique shop open at Parrish House Antiques–this is your chance to visit the historic Parrish House and maybe find a “new” antique for your home. There’s also going to be face painting, a costume contest, a watermelon-eating contest, and fencing lessons and sparring matches. Trust us, we’ve got your day’s entertainment completely covered, so come join us on the slightly-cooler mountain at the end of August for a wonderful day of family fun! 

Happy Independence Day! Parrish Ranch will be open on Monday, July 4th. We’ll have soft serve frozen yogurt available to help you cool off before the fireworks that night, along with the usual array of butters, jams, candies, wines, and patriotic gifts. We’ve got our barbecue sauces lined up to help you master the grill at your backyard party (including our well-known apple butter barbecue sauce). So bring your family up and hang out with us for a perfect end of the three-day weekend 🙂
