September 19-20 Weekend: Almost to Fall!

We’re nearly to the first day of Autumn, and we are certainly ready for cooler temperatures, and for the leaves to be red and gold because of diminishing chlorophyll, rather than fire. We’re open from 9-5 today and tomorrow, and today, we are happy we have blue skies, fresher air, and a high of 82 degrees.
We’re also happy to add another apple variety to the barn, with the arrival of the Rome Beauty. The other varieties currently available are:
-Gravensein
-Vasquez
-Spartan
-Red Delicious
-Gala
We also have fresh-pressed cider, hand-made apple pies, our apple burritos, and many other treats to enjoy while you enjoy summer’s transition into fall on the mountain with us.

9-13-20 El Dorado Fire Update: Ranch Re-Opens Today!

We’d like to express our gratitude once again, because it can’t be said enough, to the fearless firefighters who saved Oak Glen and made it possible for us to announce our second re-opening of the year. The mountains to the north, east, and west are not the gorgeous sight they were two months ago, but the community of Oak Glen, and Parrish Ranch within it, have survived both major fires this year, with only a few singed apple trees on our end.
Oak Glen Road is now open from both sides of the mountain. From Parrish’s parking lot, if you face south, everything actually looks normal. We’ll be opening our doors at 9 a.m. tomorrow to welcome everyone back.
Although we got off to a rough start, we are officially in the season of apples, and we have refreshing cider and local apples for you to enjoy here, or take back home with you.
We look forward to seeing everyone’s smiling faces again, and to the return of a sense of normalcy. We appreciate, so much, all of your words of concern, your prayers for our safety, and your positive thoughts. Together, we’ll move forward and make this apple season one to remember for good reasons.
