Light Up the Glen

Light Up the Glen was a festive success, in spite of inclement weather and uncooperative strands of lights. Everyone had a good time being serenaded by both the Desert Carolers and Mr. Andy Lepak, and Santa took many gift requests from bunches of children. Thank you to everyone who came and made it a great day!

The Pirates are Setting Sail

It’s been a good season here for our roving band of pirates, but now that the weather is getting chilly, the pirates are setting sail for warmer shores. They’ll be back next fall, but in the meantime, if you want to see them one last time, they’ll be in the Yucaipa Christmas parade on Saturday, December 10th. The parade starts at noon at California street and will travel down the boulevard, so set up your chairs and enjoy the free show!

Thanksgiving Goodies

Hi folks, we just wanted to give you all a heads up that we’ll be closed on Thanksgiving day, so if you’re planning to stock up on our delicious fresh-pressed raw cider (no sugar added!), or to delight your Thanksgiving guests with a dollop of our all-natural apple butter, or perhaps treat them to a glass of our Winter Warmer, Cranberry Supreme, or Holiday Cheer wines, plan to make it up here before next Thursday! We’ll have our normal hours until then, which are 9-5 on the weekdays and 9-6 this weekend.

We’re fully stocked on our hand-made chocolates, including a few new sugarfree flavors, and we have a wide variety of jams and jellies and sauces to tempt your pallet, many of which are open for sampling. And of course, we still have a large variety of our organic apples, all available to taste-test as well. We look forward to seeing you!

November Update

We’re looking forward to our annual Lite Up the Glen at the end of this month, on Saturday, November 26. We’re going to have Santa arriving by horse-drawn carriage at 1 p.m., and he will be here to take photos and present requests with the kiddos. During this, we will have the Desert Carolers roaming the grounds, delighting our guests with their festive harmonies, and Andy Lepak will be singing and strumming his guitar on our patio for everyone to enjoy. The Pirates will make an appearance at 2 p.m. for a meet & greet with their fans both young and old, and they’ll be back on Sunday to perform their shows at noon and 2:00 as usual. At 5 p.m., Santa will oversee the throwing of the switch as we light Parrish Ranch for the holiday season, and then we will be serving complimentary hot apple cider until 6 p.m., so mark your calendars to come up and catch a bit of the holiday spirit with us!

In the meantime, we’d like to keep you updated on the apples we have in, which are our Vasquez, Gala, Rome Beauty, Parkdale Beauty, Red Gold, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Spartan, Fuji, Braeburn, Winesap, Granny Smith, and Arkansas Black.

We’ve also gotten another shipment of wine in, including the sought-after Holiday Cheer and Winter Warmer, which are perfect for this season. In addition, we can now offer our Retriever Reisling, part of the Dog Gone Wine series, from which a portion of proceeds is donated to local shelters (and the label features a charming image of a Golden Retriever, which is always a cheering sight).

And of course, we’re still offering tastes of our apple butters, our fresh-pressed cider, our apple varieties, and many more products, so come see us soon! lite-up-the-glen-2016-photo
