Apple Season 2019!

This is it! Labor Day weekend marks the official beginning of apple season in Oak Glen ♥️🍏♥️

Accordingly, we now have the following varieties of fresh-picked apples:
Parkdale Beauty
Gala
Gravenstein
William’s Pride
Crab Apple

We also have fresh pears in, and these, along with the apples, will be available for sampling. Our fresh-pressed raw cider (which has no sugar or water added) will reflect the flavors of this first crop of the season, so you’ll certainly want a sample of that as well 😉

In honor of opening weekend, we’re putting on the full regalia: vendors will be scattered around various corners of the ranch with their crafts, creations, and curiosities. Plus, we’ll have Andy Lepak serenading you on the patio, where you can snag some delicious grilled corn while you enjoy the music, and the pirates will be up to their usual antics on Sunday at noon and two o’clock. Inside the barn, the full snack bar will be up and serving tasty treats for you to stock up on before heading to see the free shows.

Be sure to stop by Parrish House Antiques, because new merchandise comes in frequently and you never know when you’ll find your next treasure. Wildland Images will be waiting for your eyes to feast on the beautiful creations of local artists Fariad and Jennifer, who are, incidentally, delightful to talk to.

In case this essay of a post wasn’t enough to tell you, we are incredibly excited that apple season is finally here, and we can’t wait for the fun to begin!

Buccaneer Days 2019

Ahoy! As promised, the pirates have returned to our apple-filled lands, and they’re already pillaging and plundering and getting up to general mayhem. Some of you have already come up to observe their antics at their shows, and now we’re encouraging anyone who hasn’t yet witnessed the clamor and chaos (and even those of you who have) to come join us for Buccaneer Days, which will be on the last weekend in August: Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25. For that weekend only, there will be two shows (noon and 2 o’clock) on both Saturday and Sunday, and the pirates will be wandering the grounds for meet and greets. There will also be a watermelon-eating contest, with prizes for the kiddos. It’s going to be a fabulous, fun weekend. As always, the shows are absolutely free, so even if you’re on a budget, you can still partake in the revelry! We hope to see you soon!
